Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation (HART) Executive Director and CEO Lori Kahikina, P.E. issued the following statement regarding the appointment of Robert Yu to the HART Board:
On behalf of HART, I would like to extend a warm welcome to Honolulu City Council Appointee Robert Yu to the HART Board. Yu is the President and General Manager of Oahu Transit Services, Inc., the non-profit organization that manages TheBus and Handi-Van. He served as HART’s Chief Financial Officer from 2017 to 2018, and as a non-voting Legislative Appointee Board Member from June 2022. He brings over 30 years of financial and local transportation experience to the Board. I look forward to working with Board Member Yu in this new capacity.
Yu fills the Honolulu City Council Appointee seat vacated by Board Member Dean Hazama.
