Data Processing System Analyst I

Job Category: Administrative
Job Type: Contract Full Time Temporary
Job Location: Honolulu County

Honolulu’s Skyline rail system is a transformative milestone in U.S. public transit, marking the nation’s first fully automated, driverless urban light metro system.  Managed by the Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation (HART), this state-of-the-art elevated guideway system is Hawaii’s largest public infrastructure project, designed to alleviate traffic congestion and promote sustainable transportation.

The first 10.7-mile segment, connecting East Kapolei to Aloha Stadium via nine stations, opened in June 2023.  Future expansion will add eight miles and ten stations, linking Aloha Stadium to the Middle Street Transit Center in late 2025, and Downtown Honolulu by 2031.  Honolulu’s Skyline project is central to Hawaii’s shift toward renewable energy and sustainable urban mobility, aiming to remove approximately 40,000 daily cart trips while supporting economic growth and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
