1.0 Overview
The City Center Utility Relocation (CCUR) III contract relocates both wet and dry utilities as well as road improvements from Kaamahu Place to Ward Avenue, as required in advance of the City Center Guideway and Stations contract. Major scope elements for utilitiy relocations include storm drainage, sanitary sewer, watermain, gas/fuel, electraical and communications infrastructure, traffic signal systems, street lighting, service reconnections, and roadway improvements. The term of the contract is 852 days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed (NTP)
2.0 Sole Source Description
The construction work to be added onto the contract is for cable rerouting and installation, from existing overhead or underground lines, into new underground structures. These new underground structures are to be designed, built, and positioned by Frank V. Coluccio Construction Company, Inc. currently under contract to relocate utilities under the CCUR III contract. The rerouting of these cables ensures electrical utilities are out of the way of CCGS construction.
