1.0 Overview

The HRTP will provide high-capacity rapid transit service in the travel corridor between East Kapolei and Ala Moana Center. This corridor includes the majority of housing and employment on Oʽahu. The north-south width of the corridor is a maximum of four (4) miles, with the corridor constrained by the Koʽolau and Waiʽanae Mountain Ranges to the north and the Pacific Ocean to the south.

This Request for Proposals (“RFP”) is issued by the Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation (“HART”) to solicit sealed proposals for the City Center Utilities Relocation (“CCUR”) “IV” Construction Contract of the Honolulu Rail Transit Project (“HRTP”).

2.0 Solicitation Description

The Project relocates utilities in advance of the City Center Guideway and Stations construction work. It provides utility relocation construction services for a variety of utilities along with the civil roadway construction throughout the City Center segment of the HRTP. The construction services to be provided include, but are not limited to, permanent and temporary wet and dry utility relocation infrastructure work, coordination with 3rd party utilities and other contracts for cabling and energization of dry utility infrastructure, civil site work including roadway paving, sidewalks, curbs, installation of permanent/temporary utility poles, traffic signals and street lighting, piping, duct bank and manhole construction, and other utility installation support structures.
