Honolulu’s rail transit system to begin passenger operations on June 30, 2023
Mayor Rick Blangiardi announced Wednesday that the first phase of the City and County of Honolulu’s long-awaited rail transit system will officially begin interim passenger operations at 2 p.m. on June 30, 2023, with a grand opening celebration at the Hālawa rail station featuring dignitaries and entertainment slated for earlier in the day.
The Honolulu Rail System’s 19th Train Delivered
The Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation (HART) announced that Train 2 arrived at Honolulu Harbor today. The four-car train will be transported in three shipments to the Rail Operations Center (ROC): one car on Wednesday, May 10, one car on Thursday, May 11, and two cars on Friday, May 12.

HART to Extend Construction Area on Dillingham Boulevard
