There will be no travel lane closures on Thursday, November 28, 2024, in observance of Thanksgiving Day, except where noted below. All 24/7 lane closures will remain in place during this time.

 

MIDDLE STREET

LOCATION: Middle Street at the Kamehameha Highway intersection
24 Hours a Day, Seven Days a Week
One lane of southbound Middle Street will be closed.

 

KAMEHAMEHA HIGHWAY/DILLINGHAM BOULEVARD

LOCATION: Middle Street to Kaaahi Street
24 Hours a Day, Seven Days a Week
Kamehameha Highway and Dillingham Boulevard will be reduced to one traffic lane in both the eastbound and westbound directions between Middle Street and Kaaahi Street. Left turns will be restricted except from Alakawa Street. Access to properties will be maintained.

LOCATION: Middle Street to Laumaka Street
Nighttime: 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., Sunday to Thursday
All eastbound lanes of Kamehameha Highway from the H-1 Freeway Exit 18B (Middle Street/Dillingham Boulevard) to Laumaka Street will be closed. The left turn from Middle Street onto Kamehameha Highway eastbound will be closed. Motorists will be detoured at Middle Street, North King Street, and Kalihi Street to access Kamehameha Highway/Dillingham Boulevard. Access to businesses will be maintained. Westbound traffic will remain open.

LOCATION: Nimitz Highway to Kamehameha Highway/Dillingham Boulevard
Nighttime: 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., Monday to Thursday
The eastbound ramp from Nimitz Highway to Kamehameha Highway/Dillingham Boulevard will be closed. Motorists will be detoured at Nimitz Highway and Pu‘uhale Road to access Kamehameha Highway. Access to businesses will be maintained. Westbound traffic will be remain open.

LOCATION: Intersections along Kamehameha Highway/Dillingham Boulevard
Nighttime: 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., Monday to Friday
The northbound and southbound through lanes and turn lanes at the intersections along Kamehameha Highway and Dillingham Boulevard may be closed. Motorists may be detoured. Cross streets include Laumaka Street, Pu‘uhale Road, Mokauea Street, Kalihi Street, McNeill Street, Waiakamilo Road, Kohou Street, Kokea Street, Alakawa Street, and Kaaahi Street.

 

KALIHI STREET

LOCATION: Kaumualii Street to Hau Street
Daytime: 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday to Friday
Nighttime: 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., Monday to Friday
The northbound and southbound lanes at Kalihi Street may be reduced to one lane between Kaumualii Street and Hau Street. Motorists and pedestrians will be detoured.

 

WAIAKAMILO ROAD

LOCATION: Colburn Street to Dillingham Boulevard
Nighttime: 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., Friday to Sunday
Waiakamilo Road northbound may be reduced to one lane between Colburn Street and Dillingham Boulevard. Left turns onto Dillingham Boulevard from the Waiakamilo Road intersection will be restricted. Motorists and pedestrians will be detoured.

LOCATION: Northbound Waiakamilo Road
24 Hours a Day, Friday to Monday
One lane of northbound Waiakamilo Road may be reduced to one lane between Colburn Street and Dillingham Boulevard. Left turns onto Dillingham Boulevard from the Waiakamilo Road intersection will be restricted. Motorists and pedestrians will be detoured.

Daytime: 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday
Northbound Waiakamilo Road will be reduced to one lane from Colburn Street to Dillingham Boulevard.

Daytime: 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., Friday to Sunday
Southbound Waiakamilo Road will be reduced to one lane from Colburn Street to Dillingham Boulevard.

 

KALIHI STREET

LOCATION: Kaumualii Street to Hau Street
Daytime: 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday to Friday
Nighttime: 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., Monday to Friday
The northbound and southbound lanes at Kalihi Street may be reduced to one lane between Kaumualii Street and Hau Street. Motorists and pedestrians will be detoured.

 

KOHOU STREET

LOCATION: Dillingham Boulevard intersection
24 Hours a Day, Seven Days a Week
All lanes of Kohou Street from Dillingham Boulevard to Kaumualii Street will be closed. Motorists will be detoured.

 

KOKEA STREET

LOCATION: Honolulu Community College Parking Lot to Dillingham Boulevard
Nighttime: 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., Monday to Friday
Honolulu Community College parking lot from Kokea Street to Dillingham Boulevard will be closed. Motorists will be detoured.

 

NIMITZ HIGHWAY

LOCATION: Pacific Street to Awa Street
Daytime: 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday to Saturday
A single lane on Nimitz Highway between Pacific Street and Awa Street will be closed. Pedestrian and bicycle access will be provided.

LOCATION: Awa Street to Richards Street
Daytime: 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday to Saturday
Nighttime: 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., Monday to Saturday
Multiple lanes of westbound and eastbound Nimitz Highway and Ala Moana Boulevard between Awa Street and Richards Street may be reduced. Right and left turns may be closed, shifted, or detoured at Smith Street, Nuuanu Avenue, Bethal Street, Bishop Street, Alakea Street, and Halekauwila Street. Motorists may be detoured. Various sidewalks may be closed, and pedestrians may be detoured.

LOCATION: Left Turn Lane onto Smith Street
Daytime: 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday to Saturday
A left turn lane onto eastbound Smith Street will be closed. Left turns may be shifted at Smith Street, Bethel Street, Nuuanu Avenue, Bishop Street, and Alakea Street.

LOCATION: Nuuanu Avenue from Merchant Street
Daytime: 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday to Saturday
One lane of Nuuanu Avenue from Merchant Avenue to Nimitz Highway will be closed.

LOCATION: Alakea Street
Daytime: 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Saturday, November 23
The left turn lanes on Alakea Street from Nimitz Highway eastbound will be closed. Access to Alakea Street will be maintained via westbound lanes of Nimitz Highway.

LOCATION:  Fort Street to Alakea Street
Nighttime: 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., Monday to Saturday
Lanes of eastbound and westbound Fort Street to Alakea Street will be closed. A detour will be provided, directing traffic to the right turn lane on Alakea Street, followed by a left turn onto Queen Street, and then exiting onto Nimitz Highway. There will be a three-lane closure on Nimitz Highway, with the left westbound lane remaining open for through traffic.

LOCATION: Richards Street to Bishop Street
Nighttime: 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., Monday to Friday
Multiple westbound lanes may be reduced between Richards Street and Bishop Street. Right turns may be restricted or detoured at Awa Street, River Street, Smith Street, and Bethel Street.

LOCATION: Bishop Street to Fort Street
Nighttime: 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., Monday to Saturday
Multiple eastbound lanes between Bishop Street and Fort Street will be closed. Bishop Street and Fort Street entrances/exit to Aloha Tower may be intermittently closed. Left turn onto Halekauwila Street will be closed.

LOCATION: Left Lane onto Halekauwila Street
Daytime: 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday to Saturday
A left lane turn from Nimitz Highway onto Halekauwila Street eastbound will be closed. Left turns may be shifted at Smith Street, Bethel Street, Nuuanu Avenue, Bishop Street, and Alakea Street.

 

QUEEN STREET

LOCATION: Queen Street to Bethel Street
Daytime: 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday to Saturday
One lane of Queen Street to Bethel Street may be closed. Various sidewalks may be closed, and pedestrians may be detoured.

 

HALEKAUWILA STREET

LOCATION: Richards Street to Cooke Street
Daytime: 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday to Saturday
Nighttime: 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., Monday to Saturday
One lane of Halekauwila Street between Richards Street and Cooke Street may be closed intermittently. Street parking may be restricted. Motorists will be detoured.

LOCATION: Halekauwila Street to Ala Moana Boulevard
Daytime: 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday to Saturday
Nighttime: 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., Monday to Saturday

One lane of eastbound onto Halekauwila Street from Ala Moana Boulevard may be closed intermittently. Motorists will be detoured to South Street.
