Traffic Update: Segment 3 – Week of March 24, 2024

There will be no travel lane closures on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 in observance of Prince Kuhio Day and on Friday, March 29, 2024 in observance of Good Friday, except where noted below. All 24/7 lane closures will remain in place during this time.

 

MIDDLE STREET

LOCATION: Middle Street at the Kamehameha Highway intersection

24 Hours a Day, Seven Days a Week
One lane of southbound Middle Street will be closed. 

 

KAMEHAMEHA HIGHWAY/DILLINGHAM BOULEVARD

LOCATION: Middle Street to Laumaka Street

Nighttime: 8:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m., overnight Monday to Thursday
All lanes of eastbound Kamehameha Highway may be closed. Eastbound motorists traveling from Nimitz Highway or the H-1 Freeway Exit 18B may be detoured. Westbound traffic and local business access will be maintained.

LOCATION: Middle Street to Kaaahi Street

24 Hours a Day, Seven Days a Week
Kamehameha Highway and Dillingham Boulevard will be reduced to one traffic lane in both the eastbound and westbound direction between Middle Street and Kaaahi Street. Left turns will be restricted except from Alakawa Street. Access to properties will be maintained. 

LOCATION: Intersections along Kamehameha Highway/Dillingham Boulevard

Nighttime: 7:00p.m. to 5:00 a.m., overnight Monday to Friday
The northbound and southbound through lanes and turn lanes at the intersections along Kamehameha Highway and Dillingham Boulevard may be closed. Motorists may be detoured. Cross streets include Laumaka Street, Puuhale Road, Mokauea Street, Kalihi Street, McNeill Street, Waiakamilo Road, Kohou Street, Kokea Street, Alakawa Street, and Kaaahi Street.

LOCATION: Mokauea Street at the Dillingham Boulevard Intersection

Nighttime: 7:00p.m. to 5:00 a.m., overnight Saturday and Sunday
The northbound and southbound through lanes and turn lanes at the Dillingham Boulevard intersection will be closed. Motorists and pedestrians will be detoured and street parking will be restricted.

LOCATION: Kohou Street at the Dillingham Boulevard intersection

24 Hours a Day, Seven Days a Week
All lanes of Kohou Street from Dillingham Boulevard to Kaumualii Street will be closed. Motorists and pedestrians will be detoured and street parking will be restricted. 

 

KAAAHI STREET

LOCATION: Dillingham Boulevard to Kaaahi Place

Daytime: 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday to Saturday
One lane of Kaaahi Street will be closed. Two-way traffic will be maintained. Street parking may be restricted.

 

IWILEI ROAD

LOCATION: Kuwili Street to Nimitz Highway ramp

Daytime: 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday to Saturday
One lane of Iwilei Road will be closed. Two-way traffic will be maintained. Various sidewalks may be closed and pedestrians may be detoured. 

 

NIMITZ HIGHWAY

LOCATION: Awa Street to Richards Street

Daytime: 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday to Saturday
Nighttime: 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., overnight Monday to Saturday
Up to two lanes of both eastbound and westbound Nimitz Highway will be closed. Turn lanes in both directions may be reduced or closed at the intersections. 

 

HALEKAUWILA STREET

LOCATION: Richards Street to Cooke Street

Daytime: 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday to Saturday
One lane of Halekauwila Street may be closed. Street parking may be restricted.
