On Wednesday, April 13, HART announced that the tight gage and weld modifications have been completed at the five double crossovers from East Kapolei to Aloha Stadium.
With the track welding and gage modifications 100 percent complete, Trial Running is the next phase of testing that must be successfully completed before HART turns over the first segment of the rail system—East Kapolei to Aloha Stadium—to the DTS for the commencement of operations. Trial Running involves intense and rigorous testing of all aspects of the trains, stations, communication systems and train control systems over a minimum 90-day period.
