The Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation (HART) today announced that it has installed Business Access signs at driveway entrances near construction work zones along Kamehameha Highway and Dillingham Boulevard between Middle Street and Kaaahi Street. A highly visible contrast to the orange construction cones and signage in the area, the new reflective blue Business Access signs increase driveway visibility, awareness and safety, and address accessibility concerns for area businesses.
HART placed approximately 40 signs in total along that stretch during the first week of November 2023. The new signs will be posted 24 hours a day/7 days a week and will remain in place for the duration of the utility relocation work.
