Traffic Advisory: Rail-related Lane Closures Canceled from Tonight Through the Weekend

HART has canceled all rail-related lane closures beginning tonight through at least the weekend because of the oncoming storms.

Rail construction normally scheduled along Farrington Highway in Ewa and Waipahu; Kamehameha Highway in Pearl City and Aiea; the H-1 Freeway Waiawa Interchange (H-1/H-2 merge); and various streets in Kalihi, downtown Honolulu and Kakaako will resume next week.

Crews will be working today along the roadways to secure down construction equipment in anticipation of Hurricane Iselle. For the safety of both the work crews and motorists, the driving public is advised to provide a safe distance between their vehicles and workers and equipment.

HART is working closely with other city departments to ensure the roads are kept clear for public safety purposes.
