The Honolulu Rail Transit Project will be presenting an informational community meeting on the Archaeological Inventory Survey (AIS) work that will take place in the City Center section of the project, which runs from the Middle Street Transit Center station to the Ala Moana Center station. The AIS process utilizes ground penetrating radar and trenching methods to explore and excavate underground areas for potential archaeological finds. The meeting will cover day, night and weekend work that begins in late-fall 2011.
The public is welcome to attend and learn details on the AIS work from project experts, view informational displays, and ask questions of HART representatives.
Wednesday, November 2, 2011 | 6 p.m. Registration | 6:30 p.m. – 8 p.m. Meeting
