(HONOLULU)- HART Executive Director and CEO Andrew Robbins announced today that Stephen Cayetano will be joining the Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation as Senior Advisor.
“The rail project is at a critical point as HART works with the City on the P3 procurement to build the remainder of the system to Ala Moana Center, as well as preparing for the launch of rail passenger service next year,” said Robbins. “Stephen brings a wealth of program and construction management experience from around the world to Honolulu’s rail project, and we look forward to having him become one of the leaders on our team.”
Cayetano comes to HART from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Honolulu District, where he has been serving as Deputy District Engineer for Programs and Program Management. In that role, Cayetano leads a staff of 80 who are involved in planning, design, construction and closeout of projects, including the environmental planning and real estate acquisition.
He is a past president of the Hawaii Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers and a member of the Honolulu Post of the Society of American Military Engineers.
Cayetano earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Hawaii, and sits of the Board of Directors of the University of Hawaii Engineering Alumni Association.
Cayetano is scheduled to join HART on Monday, July 13th .
