The Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation (HART) announces temporary sidewalk closures and pedestrian detours in Downtown Honolulu along Nimitz Highway to support ongoing construction activities.

Beginning Tuesday, January 20, pedestrian detours will be in place along Nimitz Highway near the Fort Street and Bishop Street intersections. These detours are anticipated to remain in effect 24/7 for approximately three weeks and are required for roadway improvements.

Signage will be posted and pedestrians will be directed to nearby alternate crossings. The Honolulu Police Department will assist pedestrians as needed.
