Traffic Update: Segment 3 – Week of March 26, 2023

There will be no travel lane closures on Monday, March 27, 2023 in observance of Prince Jonah Kuhio Kalanianaole Day, except where noted below. All 24/7 lane closures will remain in place during this time.

KAMEHAMEHA HIGHWAY/DILLINGHAM BOULEVARD

LOCATION: Middle Street at the Kamehameha Highway Intersection

24 Hours a Day, Seven Days a Week
One lane of southbound Middle Street may be closed. Traffic may be stopped intermittently. 

LOCATION: Middle Street to Laumaka Street

Nighttime: 8:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m., overnights Tuesday to Thursday
All lanes of eastbound Kamehameha Highway may be closed. Eastbound motorists traveling from Nimitz Highway or the H-1 Freeway Exit 18B may be detoured. Westbound traffic and local business access will be maintained.

LOCATION: Middle Street to Kaaahi Street

24 Hours a Day, Seven Days a Week
Kamehameha Highway and Dillingham Boulevard will be reduced to one traffic lane in both the eastbound and westbound direction between Middle Street and Kaaahi Street. Left turns will be restricted except from Alakawa Street. Access to properties will be maintained. 

 

PUUHALE ROAD

LOCATION: Puuhale Road at the Dillingham Boulevard intersection

Nighttime: 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., overnights Tuesday to Friday
Through lanes and turn lanes on Puuhale Road at the Dillingham Boulevard intersection may be closed. Motorists may be detoured. 

 

MOKAUEA STREET

LOCATION: Mokauea Street at the Dillingham Boulevard intersection

Nighttime: 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., overnights Tuesday to Friday
Through lanes and turn lanes on Mokauea Street at the Dillingham Boulevard intersection may be closed. Motorists may be detoured. 

 

KALIHI STREET

LOCATION: Kalihi Street at the Dillingham Boulevard intersection

Nighttime: 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., overnights Tuesday to Friday
Through lanes and turn lanes on Kalihi Street at the Dillingham Boulevard intersection may be closed. Motorists may be detoured. 

 

MCNEILL STREET

LOCATION: McNeill Street at the Dillingham Boulevard intersection

Nighttime: 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., overnights Tuesday to Friday
Through lanes and turn lanes on McNeill Street at the Dillingham Boulevard intersection may be closed. Motorists may be detoured. 

 

WAIAKAMILO ROAD

LOCATION: Waiakamilo Road at the Dillingham Boulevard intersection

Nighttime: 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., overnights Tuesday to Friday
Through lanes and turn lanes on Waiakamilo Road at the Dillingham Boulevard intersection may be closed. Motorists may be detoured. 

 

KAAAHI STREET

LOCATION: Dillingham Boulevard to Kaaahi Place

Daytime: 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Tuesday to Saturday
One lane of Kaaahi Street will be closed. Two-way traffic will be maintained. Street parking may be restricted.

Nighttime: 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., Tuesday to Friday
One lane of Kaaahi Street will be closed. Two-way traffic will be maintained. Street parking may be restricted.

 

IWILEI ROAD

LOCATION: Kuwili Street to Nimitz Highway ramp

Daytime: 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Tuesday to Saturday
One lane of Iwilei Road will be closed. Two-way traffic will be maintained. Various sidewalks may be closed and pedestrians may be detoured. 

LOCATION: Nimitz Highway ramp to Iwilei Road

Daytime: 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Tuesday to Saturday
The westbound Nimitz Highway ramp to Iwilei Road will be closed. Motorists will be detoured to Sumner Street to access Iwilei Road. 

 

NIMITZ HIGHWAY

LOCATION: River Street to Richards Street

Daytime: 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Tuesday to Saturday
One lane of eastbound and westbound Nimitz Highway will be closed. Turn movements will be maintained. 

Nighttime: 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., overnights Tuesday to Friday
Up to two lanes of both eastbound and westbound Nimitz Highway will be closed. Turn movements will be maintained. 

 

HALEKAUWILA STREET

LOCATION: South Street to Cooke Street

Daytime: 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Tuesday to Saturday
One lane of Halekauwila Street will be closed. Two-way traffic will be maintained. Street parking may be restricted.
