LOCATION: Ford Island Bridge/Salt Lake Boulevard to Kohomua Street

Daytime: 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday to Friday

Alternating lanes of westbound Kamehameha Highway may be closed.

Daytime: 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday

Alternating lanes of eastbound Kamehameha Highway may be closed.

Nighttime: 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., overnight Friday

All lanes of eastbound Kamehameha Highway will be closed between Salt Lake Boulevard and Halawa Drive. Access to Borchers Gate on Halawa Drive will be maintained via detour to Salt Lake Boulevard, Bougainville Drive, Radford Drive then to westbound Kamehameha Highway

LOCATION: Kohomua Street to Arizona Memorial Place/Kalaloa Street

Daytime: 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday to Friday

Alternating lanes of westbound Kamehameha Highway may be closed.

Daytime: 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday

Alternating lanes of eastbound Kamehameha Highway may be closed.

Nighttime: 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., overnight Friday

All lanes of westbound Kamehameha Highway will be closed between Kalaloa Street to Kohomua Street. Westbound motorists will be detoured.

Eastbound Kamehameha Highway will be reduced to two travel lanes.

Daytime: 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday to Friday

Alternating lanes of westbound Kamehameha Highway may be closed.

Daytime: 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday

Alternating lanes of eastbound Kamehameha Highway may be closed.

Nighttime: 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., overnights Monday to Friday

All eastbound and westbound lanes of Kamehameha Highway may be closed between Radford Drive and Center Drive. Motorists will be detoured. The ramp from westbound Nimitz Highway to Kamehameha Highway may also be closed. Motorists will be detoured to Valkenburgh Street, Bougainville Drive, then Radford Drive to return to Kamehameha Highway.

For the safety of crews and the traveling public, the speed limit has been reduced to 25 mph on Kamehameha Highway between Salt Lake Boulevard/ Ford Island Bridge and Center Drive. The highway has been reduced to two lanes in each direction during construction. Bike lanes have been removed due to space constraints. Please drive safely; observe the posted speed limit, follow construction and directional signs, and share the road with bicyclists.

LOCATION: Nimitz Highway Off-Ramp and Joint-Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam Off-Ramp to Kamehameha Highway

The ramp to westbound Kamehameha Highway from westbound H-1 Freeway, westbound Nimitz Highway, and JBPHH exit will be reduced to three lanes for the duration of project construction.

VALKENBURGH STREET

LOCATION: Valkenburgh Street intersection

One lane of Valkenburgh Street will be closed. One lane of eastbound Nimitz Highway between Valkenburgh Street and Main Street may also be closed.

ELLIOTT STREET

Monday, March 28, 2022 to Friday, April 1, 2022

LOCATION: Elliott Street intersection

Nighttime: 8:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m., overnights Monday to Friday

The right turn lane from eastbound Nimitz Highway onto Elliott Street will be closed. The right turn movement will be maintained via the through lane. Larger vehicles will be detoured.

AOLELE STREET

Monday, March 28, 2022 to Friday, April 1, 2022

LOCATION: Airport Parking Garage Exit to H-1 Freeway on-ramp

Nighttime: 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., overnights Monday to Friday

One lane of eastbound Aolele Street between the airport parking garage exit and the H-1 Freeway on-ramp will be closed. The left lane exiting the airport parking garages toward the toll booths will be closed. Access to all toll booths and the exit lane for the rental cars leaving the Consolidated Rental Car Center (CONRAC) will remain open.

LOCATION: Paiea Street to Aolewa Place

Nighttime: 9:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m., overnights Monday to Friday

All lanes of Aolele Street between Paiea Street and Aolewa Place will be closed. Motorists will be detoured.

LOCATION: Aolewa Place to Aopoko Place

Nighttime: 9:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m., overnights Monday to Friday

All lanes of Aolele Street between Aolewa Place and Aopoko Place will be closed. Motorists will be detoured.

UALENA STREET

Sunday, March 27, 2022 to Saturday, April 2, 2022

LOCATION: Ohohia Street to Lagoon Drive

24 Hours a Day, Seven Days a Week

Ualena Street has been reconfigured to operate as a one-way street in the westbound direction. Eastbound motorists on Ualena Street will be detoured to Koapaka Street.

Nighttime: 8:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m., overnights Monday to Friday

Ualena Street will be closed between Ohohia Street and Lagoon Drive. Local access will remain for businesses. Motorists and pedestrians will be detoured to Koapaka Street. Street parking will be restricted.

LAGOON DRIVE

Monday, March 28, 2022 to Saturday, April 2, 2022

LOCATION: Koapaka Street to Aolele Street

Nighttime: 8:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m., overnights Monday to Saturday

All lanes of northbound Lagoon Drive may be closed. Two-way traffic will be maintained via contraflow.

WAIWAI LOOP

Sunday, March 27, 2022 to Saturday, April 2, 2022

LOCATION: Waiwai Loop Makai

24 Hours a Day, Seven Days a Week

The south entrance of Waiwai Loop will be closed. Motorists will be detoured to the north entrance of Waiwai Loop. Local access will remain for businesses.

Nighttime: 8:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m., overnights Monday to Friday

The south end of Waiwai Loop will be closed to all traffic from Lagoon Drive to the Hawaii Employers Council. Traffic will be detoured through the north entrance of Waiwai Loop. Local access will remain for businesses.

Nighttime: 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., overnight Saturday to Sunday morning

The south end of Waiwai Loop will be closed to all traffic in front of the Ahua Station. Motorists will be detoured to the north entrance of Waiwai Loop

LOCATION: Middle Street at the Kamehameha Highway Intersection

One lane of southbound Middle Street may be closed.

LOCATION: Middle Street to Laumaka Street

24 Hours a Day, Seven Days a Week

Traffic will be reduced to one eastbound and one westbound travel lane between the Kalihi Stream and Laumaka Street. Left turns on Kamehameha Highway will be restricted within the work area. Pedestrian and business access will be maintained.

Noise Impact: During potholing, vac truck, drilling and excavation work, expect increased noise levels from the unloading of materials and general machinery sounds. Shoulder and median work signage/cones along the side of the road will mark the work area. Motorists are advised to drive with caution and provide a safe distance between their vehicles, the construction workers and equipment.

Note: Due to overhead crane work, traffic may be stopped intermittently due to safety for commuters and pedestrians.
