HART Awards Contract for Dillingham Utility Relocations

The Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation (HART) today announced the award of a contract for the relocation of utility infrastructure along Dillingham Boulevard to Nan, Inc. Under procurement requirements, the award is subject to a 10-day period when other bidders may file a protest. The Dillingham utility relocations have long been identified as a critical component for the completion of the rail project.

HART audit report shows millions in savings

A recent City audit of the Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation (HART) finds that HART has successfully completed all nine recommendations, which the Honolulu City Auditor previously deemed incomplete. The Office of the City Auditor released the results of its follow-up audit to assess the extent that HART has acted upon nine different recommendations, from past audits dating back to 2016. HART passed with flying colors.

HART Recovery Plan Submitted to Federal Transit Administration

The Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation (HART) today announced it has submitted its 2022 Recovery Plan to the Federal Transit Administration (FTA). The Recovery Plan was required by the FTA to document HART’s plans for the completion of the rail project within the amount of funding that is forecast to be available.

City Center Utilities Relocation (CCUR) III Construction Contract

HART has awarded the City Center Utilities Relocation (CCUR) III construction contract to Frank V. Coluccio Construction Company, Inc (FVCCC). This phase of utility relocation work is anticipated to start in mid-June 2022. The intent of this project is to relocate both wet and dry utilities from Ka’a’ahi Street, Nimitz Highway and Halekauwila Street in advance of the City Center Guideway and Stations (CCGS) contract. Both daytime and nighttime work is anticipated with periods of 24/7 construction in select areas on an as-needed basis.
